Tonkin + Taylor International remotely supported a number of local governments, the Environmental Protection Authority and volunteer staff to deliver the waste audit programme.
Following the delivery of the waste audits in the Cook Islands and Fiji, Tonkin + Taylor delivered audits for SPREP across the four states in the FSM, both Majuro and Ebeye in the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Vanuatu and Nauru. The same methodology was applied across the Pacific, to ensure that data collection was consistent. A key component of the waste audits successful delivery was active communication with in-country stakeholders, who delivered the audits, but also those who contributed data.
